Larry Isaacsonmail_icon
Larry Isaacson graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953. After serving two years in the US Army, he was employed by American Cyanamid in Research and Development and became Technical Product Manager at the Formica Division. He left Cyanamid in 1968 and purchased Best Concrete Products Co., a block company in Atlanta, Ga. He remained in this business until 1979. Best specialized in the manufacture of architectural units and, because few block companies were in this market at that time, shipped by rail through-out the southeast and even into the midwest and other areas of the country.

When Best closed due to the Atlanta airport expansion, Larry started I & F Equipment, Inc. whose principal business was brokering used equipment relative to the concrete products industry, both in the domestic and the international market place. During this period, he also helped develop a mist curing process based on research performed at several block operations and which iwi group markets today.

In addition to I & F, Larry also founded Masonry Processes, Inc. to promote Decro-Face® textured concrete masonry. Based on patents which he holds, this attractive masonry unit is being manufactured by a number of licensees throughout the US.

Because of the experience he has attained, Larry is called upon to do both general consulting and asset appraisals within the industry. He is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers and is a past president of the Atlanta chapter.

Clay Warner, while pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tri-State College in Michigan, was employed by Chevrolet Motor Division/GM in the Process Engineering and Tool Design Department and gained extensive experience as team member designing automated production machinery and associated tooling.

Following college, he joined Charles J. Rogers Construction Company - a major underground construction firm - and learned civil engineering and surveying skills on the job. In 1970 he was recruited by Marsh Concrete Pipe Company for the position of Company Engineer and learned the intricacies of the concrete products industry "hands on", while applying his engineering knowledge to new production tooling and processes. Clay accepted the position of Technical Director with the American Concrete Pipe Association in 1972 and later moved to Atlanta as Vice-President of Engineering for ARC Kyle Inc./Amey Roadstone in 1976.

Clay Warner + Associates was formed in 1980 with the principal focus on providing technical and managerial advice and engineering services to the concrete products manufacturers. A subsidiary, Conquip®, was also established as a brokerage/secondary market maker for used equipment specific to the concrete products industry.

Presently Clay's professional affiliations include membership and seats on governing committees within the National Precast Concrete Association, the American Concrete Institute - Atlanta Chapter, the American Concrete Pipe Association, the American Society of Testing Materials - Committee c-13 on Concrete Pipe and Committee c-27 on Precast Concrete Utility Structures.

This experience has made Clay uniquely qualified to estimate the market value of concrete products industry related equipment. He has prepared appraisals for individual companies and financial institutions as related to company acquisition and mergers, business financing and estate settlements for use with the Internal Revenue Service.



Richard Isaacsonmail_icon
Richard Isaacson graduated from the University of Alabama in 1986 with a major in Marketing and a minor in Computer Science. After four years of sales experience in both the electronics and chemical industries, he joined I & F Equipment, Inc. and became vice-president of sales. His principal activity was head of the used sales department, both in the domestic and the international market place.

He is currently responsible for the used sales department, domestically and internationally, as well as head of product marketing and advertising at iwi group in addition to being called upon for consulting services in the area of plant equipment. Richard recently completed a course in 'Pipe Production Methods' from the Hawkeye Group.

Richard has been on the Board of Directors for the National Precast Concrete Association and is still very active in this organization as well as having been on its Education, Marketing & Membership committees.. In addition, he has been on the Associate Member Board for the National Concrete Masonry Association in addition to having being on NCMA's membership task force and the Masonry Expo subcommittee. He was also elected to serve on the Exhibitor Council, a joint venture between NPCA and NCMA. All of these relations have given him deep insight into our industry.



Dan Faulknermail_icon
After college, Dan Faulkner began his career in the concrete industry at Ideal Steel Products fabricating custom concrete batch plants. He became VP and General Manager and was responsible for the complete layout and design of both batch plant and other specialty equipment. In 1985, he developed and patented a long wearing conveyor idler roller which the company marketed. In 1993, he started working with WAM, Inc. to bring their unique screw conveyor to the US and arranged for its manufacture in the US. In 1997, he became Manufacturing Director when WAM erected their own plant in Georgia.

Dan brings a wealth of experience to iwi group both with his practical knowledge of the concrete industry and his creative approach to resolving manufacturing problems.



Brent Hardiemail_icon

Brent Hardie's career in the concrete products industry started in parts and service for batch plant components in 2001. Here he learned how to service and repair major batch plant components, gaining an appreciation of their value. At the end of 2004 he joined iwi to handle inside sales and has since grown in knowledge of the entire concrete industry. He is active in brokering used block, pipe, and wet cast equipment. Selling used concrete products equipment has given Brent an understanding of how values of this equipment are determined and he now participates in many evaluation studies.

Brent is certified to service Sioux steam cleaners and hot water heaters and to increase his knowledge of the industry has recently completed a course in 'Pipe Production Methods' from the Hawkeye Group.



Chris Curtismail_icon

Chris Curtis joined iwi in 2007 and you can see below why he has become such a valuable member of our group with the knowledge and experience he brought with him.

Chris graduated from the University of Alabama in 1967. While in college he worked with Tuscaloosa Concrete Pipe gaining experience in both the operations and management of a concrete products plant. He then served two years in the U.S. Army, one of which was in Vietnam. Upon his return he was with Sherman International where he designed, built, and managed concrete pipe, precast and prestressing plants. In 1995 he started a consulting company and worked with major concrete products producers where he obtained extensive experience in buying and selling the equipment used in these plants.

His knowledge of the pipe and precast industry is recognized throughout the industry and has made him a great solution provider for any of your production needs.

In his professional affiliations he has served as President of the Alabama Concrete Industries Association and chaired the Storm and Sanitary Manhole Section of NPCA.



Rick Battagliamail_icon
Rick Battaglia joined iwi group in April, 2008 and brought with him three decades of experience in Precast and heavy construction equipment.

His career began in the 1970's after a 3 year tour with the U.S.M.C., Rick attended La Sall University in Philadelphia where he majored in Psychology. From 1970 to 1985 his work was focused mainly on the erection, maintenance and dismantling of power plants, bridges, highways and various types of cranes ranging from smaller, 15 ton units to large 1000 ton units. During this time he managed projects from companies worldwide including Japan and the Middle East.

From 1985 through 2007 working at Oldcastle, Rick's main focus as plant manager was to streamline plant operations which included their rolling stock and heavy equipment.

Rick's intimate knowledge and familiarity with all precast plant operations and construction equipment provides our customers with the best information available to meet their needs.



Joanne Mauriciomail_icon
Joanne is our Office/Marketing Manager. In this role, she is the one who makes sure you get the help and information you require when you need it. She speaks fluent Spanish which enables her to assist our vast Latin American/Spanish speaking customer base.

Joanne has been with us since April, 2006. She has over 10 years of office managerial experience in the construction equipment industry, along with several years of accounting experience in the construction, retail and Information Technologies industries.

Because of her father's military background, Joanne was fortunate enough to travel throughout Europe and the U.S. She received an AA from the University of Maryland, Munich, Germany branch and then a BA from the University of Florida, where she majored in German Language and Literature.

With this background, Joanne has managed to keep our office running smoothly, in spite of all of our idiosyncrasies. If you have questions she will see to it that you get your answers promptly.



Doug Adams mail_icon
Doug Adams graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1969. After several years working in public accounting, he was hired by an automobile parts distributor in Louisville, Kentucky who transferred him to Atlanta in 1972 to be the Controller of their branch operations there. In 1981, Doug and the general manager purchased the Atlanta branch from the Louisville home office and continued to operate it until it closed in 1991. In 1992, Doug became the Accounting Manager of the Georgia branch of Global Equipment Company, an international distributor of material handling equipment

We were fortunate to have Doug join us in January 2008 to handle our accounting functions. While he was new to the concrete industry, his experienced in all aspects of accounting and business in general made him an immediate asset to the company.
